'March of the Women' Friday 20th October 12.30pm Victoria Square to Lemon Street, Truro - Ladies of Duchy Chorus sing the March of the Women by Dame Ethel Smyth (1858-1944) composer, writer and suffragette as the walk through town and end being arrested.

May and September - 'Essentially Ethel' St Fimbarrus Church, Fowey - 14th May at the Daphne du Maurier Festival The Burrell Theatre, Truro - 15 September Falmouth Arts Centre, Falmouth (TBC) A one-woman show from London touring venues across Cornwall and performed by Gill Stoker. It portrays the life of Ethel Smyth and focuses on her feminism, involvement in the suffrage movement and her career as a composer and writer. Supported by Members of Duchy Opera who will be performing music with a maritime theme.
22nd & 23rd April - Vocal Masterclass and Recital Truro High School Extending the annual Duchy Opera vocal masterclass to include some of the cast from The Wreckers, the distinquished Richard Jackson and Russell Smythe will be instructing and guiding singers and teachers througout this weekend event.
