MEMBERSHIP and SUBSCRIPTIONS POLICY

Introduction
This policy defines the following designated levels of membership and subscription as follows:-
Singing Membership. ………………………………………………………….... £50

Membership and Subscriptions
- Subscriptions are due on 1st January
- After 1st August a pro rata amount related to the number of months remaining in the year is payable.
- Subscriptions may be paid in monthly installments by Bankers Order.
- Singing Members are entitled to participate in structured rehearsals and all the benefits of Company membership and to vote at General Meetings of the Company.
- Singing Members may be required to audition and may also need to await availability of requirement within the Chorus or a Group.
- Non-singing Members are entitled to all the benefits of Singing Members except to participate as a performer in Company rehearsals or productions.
- Young Members must be under 18 years of age on 1st January and are entitled to all the benefits of Singing Members but are not entitled to vote at Meetings.
- Intermediate Members must be between the ages of 18 years and 25 years on 1st January and are entitled to all the benefits of Singing Members.
- Associate Membership is available to anyone who engages in activities for the benefit of the Company. They are not entitled to participate in structured rehearsals or to vote at Meetings.
- Soloists, Professional Singers, Musicians and Repetiteurs, the President and Patrons, Invited Casual Performers, Artistic and Technical Specialists and Volunteers and any person who performs a service on behalf of the Company are not required to be Members of the Company but may become Associate Members if they so wish.
- Any Member may apply, in confidence, to a Member of the Council for a consideration of the level of their subscription, the method of payment or deferment of payment of their subscription according to their circumstances.
- Any Member, who consistently fails to pay the required subscription, may be required to explain their failure to the Council who, at their discretion, may take further action in respect of that Member including withdrawal of their membership.
- Any member of the Council must be a fully paid up Member of the Company.
