Detecting a new president for Duchy Opera

IMAGINE the scene. Before a hushed audience Duchy Opera's latest production is reaching its climax. The overwrought soprano hits the highest note of her aria and plunges a dagger into the dastardly baritone who has betrayed her.
But wait. All is not well. Someone has swapped the retractable stage dagger for the real thing, and the poor baritone collapses dead in the spotlight. The audience gasps in horror.
